Edward Ballo has been the lead site security officer for two locations. During this time, Edward worked closely with on-site contract security agencies and corporate security offices. Edward dealt with the challenges of cost constraints, attrition, finding talent, interfacing with law enforcement, performing investigations, training new and reassigned employees and handling sensitive and private information.
An analysis of products that were considered waste was performed and it was found that some of the products needed to be destroyed prior to entering the waste stream. Technology was purchased and put into place, work instructions were generated and training was given to ensure none of the products could be taken from the site.
Edward has held both Secret and Top Secret security clearances. A corporate security site assessment was conducted and it was determined that the site received a score of 98 out of 100. This occurred because the site continuously improved its security posture. The primary tools used were the FMEA and a rolling action item list. Quotes for improvement work were generated and expense and capital money were made available to improve security at the site.
