To whom it may concern:
Let me start by saying that Edward Ballo is one of the most trustworthy individuals that I have ever come across. He is a consummate professional, a fantastic mentor, and he possesses a unique set of skills to persuade, convince, and empower. Edward is a true agent of change!
I worked with Edward at L’Oréal USA cosmetics as he was the Director of ETNSHE (Engineering, Facilities, Safety, Health, Environmental and Security) and I was the Director of Operations for one of the largest manufacturing sites in L’Oréal. I can honestly say that after working with L’Oréal for nearly 17 years, I had not encountered a Safety Professional of this caliber. Edward brought a new perspective and approach, he combined Lean, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement techniques with a simplistic enthusiastic touch that resonated with individuals at all levels of the organization. Edward was able to lead and persuade a hard driven manufactured centered organization to become a more robust, investigative culture all while embedding this into the business instead of creating a separate culture. There was never a feel that one wins and the other loses after Edward put his mark on the group. I have since longed for Edward to join me in my new venture here at Mary Kay, but I am glad to see that he has chosen a broader path which allows him to help the masses. He has such skill and grace to enhance whatever your needs are within your organization when it comes to EHS. Anyone that hires Edward is in for an organization altering event. I fully support Edward and what he is able to do with his skill set, the changes he is able to institute, and the integration of his knowledge into a company's DNA.

Chaun Harper, Vice President of Operations Mary Kay Cosmetics
“I highly recommend Edward to any organization looking for a forward leaning and thinking thought leader. Edward takes tremendous pride in his work and ensuring value added solutions and output. He is a critical thinker and excellent listener. His knowledge in the environmental, health & safety space is extraordinary, deep and broad.”
Jeff Brody, Chief Human Resources Officer, ManTech International Corporation
"Edward was a member of my senior management team, serving as the site Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities (HSE&F) Senior Manager. Our site was quite a complex mix of products, customers and local, state and federal regulations. Despite the complexity, Edward built a high performing work team that changed the way the HSE&F functioned at the site. Edward and his team instituted, and successfully performed initial certification of both the ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 programs. Edward’s other major accomplishments were the creation of the volatile organic compound (VOC) program for the site, no notices of violations (NOVs) under his watch, and achievement of a total case incident rate (TCIR) of 0.18. Initially, Edward managed the HSE&F functions at the site but was ultimately given responsibility for Facilities as well because of the close link in operations and because he was capable of getting tough tasks completed. I highly recommend Edward in any endeavor he pursues."
Kenneth DeFusco, Retired Site Leader Honeywell
"I have known and worked with Edward for over twenty years. He is definitely one of the most dedicated and hardworking environmental / safety professionals that I have worked with during my career. One of the many things that separates him from others is the fact that he is a self-starter that works with little or no direct supervision. Edward is always someone you can count on to not only get the job done, but to also get it done right. I am very fortunate to have him as a trusted friend and colleague."
Randy Kincaid, Director Global Security at Borg Warner
"I wish to commend Mr. Edward Ballo. I have known and worked with him professionally and socially for 15 years. He is the consummate professional who thrives in challenging environments. He is an exceptional leader and team player who intrinsically motivates people. His superb interpersonal skills and loyalty ranks him among the best in any organization."
John Phillips, PhD, Major General USAF ret, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense Logistics fmr.
"It took me only a few days to realize that Edward had strong leadership skills, well above those of other directors that I have interfaced with. His ability to lead without micro-managing is impressive. Edward also truly cares about continuous improvement, not only for the business but for his employees. You can always count on him to support what you are passionate about."
Leslie Tillman, Design Engineer Intern at Bohler Engineering
"Ed is a hard charging change agent with the ability to favorably impact the bottom line quickly by leveraging his Honeywell Black Belt certification and by stretching and challenging his direct reports. Unlike many change agents who are mostly interested in their next certification, Ed has a real interest in improving the business, developing his team and teaching and learning. His high performing direct reports sing his praises and appreciate the recognition and leadership he provides. The low performers quickly determine that they need to get on board and achieve his high standards or find a new line of work. I enjoyed our time together and appreciated his contributions to improving the business."
Doug Foster, Director of Continuous Improvement & Operations Leader at AAI
