Edward Ballo has established policies to direct and guide environmental, safety and health principles within the organizations he has supported. Policies were written for PPE, program adherence, changes in EHS approach and leadership establishment of expectations.
Edward has generated, updated and optimized procedures for all facets of the EHS profession. Special focus was given to ensuring that the proper instructions were written without making the procedure so voluminous and lengthy that it was ignored, or only partially implemented. An example of this at one site was when a simple safety check sheet was generated for each production line. It was intended to be regularly reviewed by supervisors, new and seasoned workers, and should have had a maximum of 15 lines on the sheet. After an audit of the program, it was found that all the production lines had well over 15 lines, and some had over one hundred. Measures were then put into place to facilitate the staff to properly adhere to the intent of the program.
