Edward Ballo has conducted many EHS compliance audits throughout his career. He used compliance software and governmental regulations to augment his considerable EHS knowledge and background. Additionally, not only did Edward perform audits on the sites for which he had responsibility, he also performed them at many other locations. The audits he conducted ultimately assisted the business in the form of less risk to the employees and the community but also in mitigating legal compliance issues.
Edward used his policies and procedures as a tool to prepare for a time that not only local, state and federal governmental agencies performed on-site inspections but also corporate governance groups. Using the findings from the audits, Edward leveraged a corrective and preventive action (CAPA) software system to track and close the findings. He also used a site assessment tool to ensure fidelity with regulatory requirements germane to permitting and policy and procedure adherence. Once the findings were closed, a verification process was used to ensure robustness of closure.
